Being 60 or over does not make NHS dental treatment free — that exemption applies to prescriptions, not dentistry. If charges apply, check which NHS band your treatment falls in before you agree to it.

This is a guide, not an official eligibility decision — exemption categories and evidence requirements change, and claiming an exemption you're not entitled to can result in a penalty charge. In Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, NHS examinations/check-ups are free but treatment charges can still apply.
